You’ve probably heard the phrase “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” In our fast-paced, highly-connected lives, networking can make a difference between whether your resume is read, whether you secure an interview and ultimately receive employment. This course will provide you with the fundamentals of networking and how to use this skill to your advantage.

• Understand the why and how of networking, and what local employers are looking for as they seek to fill employment vacancies
• Become aware of strategies to present themselves and communicate with prospective employers, mentors and colleagues
• Gain an understanding of networking techniques and places where they can begin and practice networking skills
